The Planet supports a variety of popular operating systems including Windows and Linux as well as providing a choice of control panels shown in our shopping cart and ready for deployment with your dedicated servers. We are always reviewing our operating system and control panel offerings to ensure the latest versions are supported.

Software support policy

The Planet's Built-In Value Support covers all vendor supported operating systems offered through the shopping cart and OS Reload services. Because of limitations, older or legacy software versions may not always be fully supported. If a software version is determined to be a legacy product, support will be limited for customer services through Orbit, as well as for power, network connectivity and server hardware.

Legacy Software is defined by the following conditions:

1. Vendor announces the product will be End of Support or End of Life
2. Vendor offers 2 or more newer versions of the software
3. Software will not run on current dedicated server product lines
4. We no longer maintain a relationship with the software vendor

The legacy software listed below will not be supported as of the dates indicated
