Highly Available Managed Traffic
The Cisco Systems hardware firewalls in this configuration operate in an active-passive mode for instant failover. To provide an additional level of security and security event correlation, this configuration includes a managed intrusion detection system and a managed event log system powered by Alert Logic.
Fully Redundant Hardware Level
The web servers in this configuration sit behind redundant load balancers for failover protection and web traffic optimization. Additional web servers can easily be added over time as web traffic demand scales. Additional servers are configured as dedicated application servers with room to scale over time. The database servers are clustered and connected to clustered storage supplied by a storage area network (SAN).
High Performance Managed Backup
Each managed hosting configuration includes a separate network dedicated to data traffic from backup or restore sessions. Each managed hosting configuration also has access to a disk-to-disk based backup system for faster access times and greater data throughput for reduced backup times.
